    Fair Housing Board Mission: The City of Roanoke’s Fair Housing Board seeks to expand the knowledge, understanding, and desire of all citizens to receive fair and equal treatment in respect to housing choice. The Fair Housing Board seeks to provide education to the housing industry, housing industry related partners, and citizens to ensure that all know their rights and responsibilities under the Federal, State, and Local Fair Housing Laws. Fair Housing Board Vision: To provide education so that no citizen shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, familial status (families with children under age 18), elderliness (age 55 or older), source of funds, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status so that all citizens have the right to live where they can afford.
