What is Absentee Voting or Vote by Mail?

Virginia now allows all registered voters to vote absentee in person or by mailed ballot without having to have an excuse or reason before Election Day.  Voters wishing to vote before Election Day should complete an application online to receive a ballot by mail.  The deadline to return a mailed ballot is Election Day at 7:00 pm.  Alternately, voters wishing to vote before Election Day can vote in person in the office Voter Registration and Elections located at 317 Kimball Avenue NE.  Acceptable identification is required.
