MANDATORY WORKSHOP DEC. 6

How-to-apply workshop to be held for Arts & Culture Funding

The City of Roanoke provides programmatic funding to nonprofit arts and cultural organizations to help provide robust cultural offerings to residents and visitors of the region. To be eligible, organizations must be in good standing and have operated under their 501(c)3 status for three years. RSVP for the workshop here. Attendance at the workshop is required in order to receive funding. VCA HOLDS GRANTS WORKSHOP DEC 2

Join Virginia Commission for the Arts 

The Virginia Commission for the Arts is holding a how-to-apply workshop on their variety of grants for artists and nonprofit arts groups. The closest workshop to Roanoke will be held on Monday December 2, in Buena Vista. Pre-registration is not required. 
Workshops can be helpful for first-time applicants preparing requests for: 
  • General Operating Support Grants  
  • Project Grants
  • Creative Community Partnership Grants
  • Artists In Education and AIE Express (AIEx) Grants
  • Technical and Organization Development Assistance Grants
  • Performing Arts Touring Assistance for Presenters 
  • Applications to the Performing Arts Tour Directory and/or the Teaching Artist Roster 
  • Artist Fellowships
Participants are encouraged to read the Guidelines for Funding and preview the Online Application Webinar and Tutorials. Those persons requiring the services of an interpreter for the hearing impaired should contact the Commission office at least one week in advance of the workshop.

The workshop will be located in a classroom in the back of the building.
