City Closures Due to Flooding

The Parks and Recreation Department announces that all activities planned for the Roanoke River Greenway this weekend have been canceled. Below is a comprehensive list of all park, trail, and greenway closures until further notice:

  • Carvins Cove (all trails)
  • Roanoke River Greenway
  • Tinker Creek Greenway
  • Murray Run Greenway
  • Smith Park
  • Wasena Park
  • River’s Edge South
  • River’s Edge South Tennis Courts

The Transportation Division reports the following street closures:

  • Yellow Mountain Road is closed at Welcome Valley
  • Wiley Drive is closed between Franklin Road and Crystal Spring Avenue
