Roanoke Street Closing Updates

[ARCHIVED] Downtown Weekend Street Closure Update

ROANOKE, VA - The following streets will be closed due to various events occurring Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16, 2019.

"Martin's St. Patrick's Street Party" (Saturday, 3/16/19) 

  • On Friday, March 15, Luck Avenue, between 1st Street SW and 2nd Street SW, will be closed at 5:00 PM and on Saturday March 16th at 6:00 AM 1st Street between Church Avenue and Franklin Road will be closed due to the "Martin's St. Pat's Block Party" event. This closure will conclude at 12:00 AM.

"Shamrock Festival" (Saturday, 3/16/19)

From 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the following streets will be closed:

  • Salem Avenue, between Williamson Road and Jefferson Street
  • Market Street, between Norfolk Avenue and Campbell Avenue
  • Wall Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue
  • Jefferson Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue

"St. Patrick's Day Parade" (Saturday, 3/16/19) 

From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the following streets will be closed:

  • Jefferson Street, between Salem Avenue and Williamson Road
  • Campbell Avenue, between 1st Street and Williamson Road
  • Franklin Road, between 1st Street and Williamson Road
  • Elm Avenue, between 1st Street and Williamson Road
  • Albemarle Avenue, between 1st Street and Williamson Road

"Shamrock Hill 5K Run" (Saturday, 3/16/19) 

From 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the following streets will be closed:

  • Shenandoah Avenue westbound, between Williamson Rd and 15th St NW
  • Centre Avenue eastbound, between 12th St NW and 15th St NW
  • Gainsboro Road southbound, between Orange Avenue and Patton Avenue
  • Henry Street southbound, between Wells Avenue and Centre Avenue
  • Patton Avenue, between Gainsboro Road and Henry Street
  • Jefferson Street, between Patton Avenue and Shenandoah Avenue
