Over the years we have done this by offering subscriptions to multiple news categories. However, as news cycles and methods of sharing news have evolved, so must our approach to sharing news.
As a result, effective the week of Feb. 4, 2019, many of our news categories for MyRoanoke email notifications will be combined into one category – “Roanoke News” – to ensure subscribers aren’t missing out on important information about topics like sustainability, solid waste, and arts and culture, as well as general news and announcements. Street closings will continue to be sent as separate MyRoanoke messages.
Do not be alarmed if you receive an email from our website host, Civic Plus, informing you that you have been “unsubscribed” from a MyRoanoke category. You are now subscribed to the “Roanoke News” category and will continue to receive a variety of news from the City of Roanoke under that category. We appreciate your interest and your willingness to try our new approach to better serve you.
