Citizens are invited to attend the Annual Neighborhood Potluck Dinner and Awards Celebration on Friday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Fitzpatrick Hall at the Jefferson Center. The event is sponsored by the city's Office of Neighborhood Services and Roanoke Neighborhood Advocates, in partnership with Roanoke City Council, as a way for neighbors from across the city to share a delicious dinner together and recognize residents’ contributions to their community.
Attendance is free, however each participant is asked to bring a special dish to share with 8 to 10 other participants, and to confirm their attendance by registering in advance. Online registration is available by clicking here.
Over the past few weeks, citizens have submitted nominations to the city for recognition of those who have made significant efforts to help their neighborhoods become great places to live, work, play, and invest. During the dinner, members of Roanoke City Council and the Roanoke Arts Commission will present the 2018 Neighborhood Partnership Awards from the pool of submitted nominations received.
