Roanoke, VA - Beginning at 5:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018, Norfolk Ave between 1-1/2 St and the Martin Luther King Jr. pedestrian bridge will be closed to all traffic. This street closure is required in order to allow crane access to the rooftop utilities for those buildings located at the 100 block of Norfolk Ave. During this closure there will be no vehicle access to the west entrance of the Roanoke Station parking garage or Norfolk Ave in front of the Amtrak platform. The area parking lots and pedestrian access to the Amtrak platform will not be effected by this closure. Operations are expected to conclude by 9:00 AM the same day. Please plan travel times accordingly.
