[ARCHIVED] Downtown Street Closure Update

ROANOKE, VA – This weekend street closures due to various events occurring downtown between Friday, May 18, thru Sunday, May 20, are as follows:

  • “First & 3rd Fridays on Franklin” – (Friday), from 2:00 P.M to 9:30 P.M.
  • Franklin Road between Jefferson Street and Williamson Road

  • "Over The Edge" - (Friday & Saturday) - Closure starts at 8:00 A.M on Friday, thru Saturday at 8:00 P.M.
  • Bullitt Avenue between Jefferson Street and 1st Street

  • "Local Colors Festival" (Saturday) - 6:00 A.M to 5:00pm
  • Frankin Road between Jefferson Street and Williamson Road

  • "The Night Rider's Ball at Martin's Downtown" (Saturday)- 8:00 A.M to Midnight
  • 1st Street between Church Avenue and Franklin Road
  • Luck Avenue between 2nd Street and 1st Street

  • "Hustle for the Homeless" (Saturday)

There will be several street closures from 7:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M.

  • Luck Avenue SW, between 4th Street and 3rd Street
  • 3rd Street SW, between Church Avenue and Campbell Avenue
  • 4th Street SW, between Campbell Avenue and Salem Avenue
  • Jefferson Street, between Shenandoah Avenue and Wells Avenue
  • Jefferson Street, between Wells Avenue and Celtic Way (PVT)
  • Gilmer Avenue, between Gainsboro Road and 2nd Street NE
  • Patton Avenue, between Gainsboro Road and 2nd Street NE

Due to these events, on-street parking may be temporarily restricted.

The City of Roanoke will furnish all barricades, signs, cones, etc.
