ROANOKE, VA – The following streets will be closed on Friday, October 6, and Saturday, October 7, due to various events in Downtown Roanoke.
“First and 3rd Fridays on Franklin”: Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Franklin Road, between Williamson Road and Jefferson Street
“Martin’s Oktoberfest Block Party”: Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to Midnight
- 1ST Street between Church and Luck Avenues
“Hustle for the Homeless”: Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The following streets will be closed:
- 4th Street SW, between Church and Luck Avenues
- 4th Street SW, between Campbell and Salem Avenues
- 3rd Street SW, between Church and Campbell Avenues
- Jefferson Street, between Shenandoah and Wells Avenues
- Jefferson Street, between Wells and Gilmer Avenues
- 2nd Street NE, between Madison and Gilmer Avenues
All parking garages will remain accessible.
Valley Metro buses will run on their usual schedules. Trip planning for Valley Metro buses is available at www.valleymetro.com.
Detours will not be established.

The City of Roanoke will furnish all barricades, signs, cones, etc.
