Roanoke, VA – On Monday, Aug. 7, the 2017 Blue Ridge Continuum of Care Housing Symposium: Retooling Our Crisis Response System will take place at the Salem Civic Center, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s symposium is focused on strengthening the crisis response system to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and non-reoccurring.
Panel discussions will address how to improve service delivery and equip our community with the tools necessary to support systemic change in our approach to addressing homelessness. Participants will receive a wealth of information designed to enhance their practice with homeless families and individuals, as well as resources for a new framework for thinking about our community's response to homelessness.
