Roanoke, VA – On Tuesday, May 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the City of Roanoke will host an Open House meeting at the City Market Building in the Campbell Avenue Mezzanine on the second floor, to display the major themes and key ideas being developed within the proposed Downtown Plan.
Utilizing surveys, public input, and information from stakeholders, the city has begun drafting the Downtown Plan and hopes to establish policies and goals that guide future development and maintain the vibrancy of Downtown Roanoke. The city invites citizens to review the big ideas that are starting to take shape within the Downtown Plan and offer their input. The format for the Open House meeting will be “come and go,” to allow participants to arrive anytime throughout the meeting and review the displayed information at their own pace, with staff on hand to answer questions and listen to comments.
