Roanoke, VA – The City of Roanoke and the Greater Virginia Green Building Council invite you to attend a tour of Recycling Disposal Systems (RDS), the single-stream recycling facility in Roanoke. Participants will tour the facility and watch the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in action.
Date and Time: Monday, April 10, 2017, 9 – 10 a.m.
Location: Recycling Disposal Systems (RDS) , 835 Korte St. SW, Roanoke, VA 24015
Space is limited, and registration is required by April 7, at close of business
- Tour starts at 9 a.m. and will last an hour.
- Light refreshments will be served.
- Please wear long pants and closed shoes; additional safety gear will be provided.
RDS is located in Norwich neighborhood close to the intersection of Roanoke Street and Bridge Street.
Directions from Bridge Street and Roanoke Avenue Intersection: turn onto Roanoke Avenue passing the convenience store, 0.4 mile turn right just past Associated Asphalt/white picket fence, drive between the buildings, cross the set of train road tracks, RDS is on the right, parking is on the left.
Note: This is an active work zone please be mindful of truck traffic and do not block access.
