Update on Snow Removal
Roanoke, VA – Significant progress has been made for snow removal on city streets. Most arterial streets are cleared and in good shape, with a few problem areas still being plowed. Snow removal crews are now transitioning to residential streets. Residents traveling on secondary streets are urged to use caution as some of the residential streets are still slick.
The city reminds residents that calls or texts to 911 should be reserved for medical, fire, or police emergencies only. Please do not call 911 or 211 for specific information related to snow removal. Instead, residents should call the Citizen Call Center at 853-2000, Option 8 for general information on the status of road conditions or to report a street that needs to be plowed.
