[ARCHIVED] Horton Park to Host Parks and Arts 2016 Finale

Roanoke, VA – Horton Park will host the final Parks and Arts event of 2016. The event will take place this Saturday, Oct., 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the park, located at 2500 Salem Turnpike. Performing artists will include Carrington Kay, JoJo Stockton, Larnell Starkey and the Spiritual Seven. Visual artists will include Katherine Devine (face painting), Carlow Dowling (pottery), Charlene Graves (Let’s Color).

Parks and Arts events are FREE and provide venues for a wide variety of local and regional artists, dancers, and musicians to showcase their talents. With a focus on community settings, these events meld the outdoors with the arts, engage residents in art, and promote neighborhoods' diverse cultural and historic resources.
