Roanoke, VA – The City of Roanoke has launched its redesigned website at roanokeva.gov. Visitors to the site will notice many new features, a cleaner design, and central search option.
“This new site really takes Roanoke’s online presence to the next level. Not only does it provide easy to find information for citizens, it also showcases our beautiful city for families and businesses considering a move to the area,” said City Manager Chris Morrill.
City staff spent nearly a year working with website provider Civic Plus on the new design. During the information-gathering phase of the project, the city sought input from citizens through face-to-face meetings, a citizen survey, and social media posts.
Among the new features is a section called “I Want To.” This area of the site was designed to quickly take users to different sections of the website depending on the topic. Other features include a redesigned calendar, new MyROANOKE notification center, and quick access to Roanoke’s 40-plus social media sites through the city’s social media center.
