Roanoke, VA - Roanoke City Council and the Roanoke Neighborhood Advocates continue to seek award nominations for the new city-wide 2015 Neighborhood Partnership Awards Program. Citizens are encouraged to submit as many nominations as possible to honor and recognize the volunteer efforts provided by neighborhood groups, individuals, businesses and nonprofits to improve the quality of life in our city's neighborhoods. There is still time to submit a nomination before the Oct. 15 deadline, and there is no limit to the number of nominations that can be submitted.
The nine Neighborhood Partnership Award categories are as follows:

A ninth award, the Neighborhood All-Star Award, will be provided by Council to recognize the exceptional accomplishments achieved by an eligible recipient of one or more of the above award categories that improved/enhanced the neighborhood's quality of life.
Awards will be presented by City Council members at the annual City Neighborhoods "Harvesting of the Fruits" Potluck and Awards Dinner held in Jefferson Center's Fitzpatrick Hall on Friday, Nov. 13. This event is open to all neighborhood residents who would like to bring their favorite dish to share. All award nominees will be notified and strongly encouraged to attend this annual event as well. The event is free but registration is required.
