Roanoke, VA – Mountain View Park will host the third Parks and Arts event of 2016. The event will take place this Saturday, Aug. 6, from noon to 3 p.m. in the park, located at 714 13th St. Performing artists will include The Wright Kids, Rootstone Jug Band, and Upscale Band Show. Visual artists will include Katherine Devine (face painting), Carlos Dowling (pottery), and Charlene Graves (Let’s Color). Visitors will also be able to tour the historic Mountain View Mansion.
All Parks and Arts events are FREE and provide venues for a wide variety of local and regional artists, dancers, and musicians to showcase their talents. With a focus on community settings, these events meld the outdoors with the arts, engage residents in art, and promote neighborhoods' diverse cultural and historic resources.
