Roanoke, VA – Preston Park will host the second Parks and Arts event of 2016. The event will take place this Saturday, July 16, from noon to 3 p.m. in the park, located at Winslow Drive between Trinkle Avenue and Preston Avenue. Performing artists will include Jim and Kimbo Carey, Einstein’s Monkey, and Star City Swag. Visual artists will include Katherine Devine (face painting) and Polly Branch (Seeing Nature with Watercolors).
All Parks and Arts events are FREE and provide venues for a wide variety of local and regional artists, dancers, and musicians to showcase their talents. With a focus on community settings, these events meld the outdoors with the arts, engage residents in art, and promote neighborhoods' diverse cultural and historic resources.
