ROANOKE, VA – Starting Sunday April 24, Western Virginia Water Authority will be working on updating the water main line on Elm Avenue between Franklin Road and Jefferson Street. The work will begin Sunday evening at the intersection of Elm Ave and Franklin Road; followed by weekly lane closures between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday along Elm Avenue for approximately 2 months. Work is expected to be completed by June 30th. There will be traffic control directing traffic along the project zone at all times.
Detours will be established for each section of the project. During the first phase of the project between 3rd Street and Franklin Road, traffic will be detoured on to 3rd street and Franklin Road.
