This fall, the City will offer “Taking Your Organization to The Next Level,” a free training course led by Program Consultant Steve Hixon, designed to help neighborhood associations learn leadership development and skills to increase their group participation and increase capacity within their organizations. Facilitated by the City’s HUD Community Resources Division and the Office of Neighborhood Services, the training will consist of six virtual classes to be held over three months as follows:
- Strategic Planning Intro
- Sept. 18, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Sept. 20, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Operational Plan Development
- Oct. 23, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Oct. 25, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Sustainability Plan
- Nov. 20, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Nov. 22, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Neighborhood groups may register up to three representatives from their group to participate in this training. Participants will be expected to take part at least five of the six classes in order to complete the course and be eligible to apply for Neighborhood Development Grants for the 2022-23 program year.
