Roanoke, VA - The following streets will be closed due to various events occurring Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12.
On Friday, Dec. 11, several streets will be closed from 3 to 10 p.m. due to the "The Roanoke Times Dickens of a Christmas" event. The following streets will be closed:
- From 3 to 10 p.m., Market Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue
- From 3 to 10 p.m., Wall Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue
- From 3 to 10 p.m., Market Street, between Campbell Avenue and Church Avenue
- From 3 to 10 p.m., Church Avenue closed to through traffic, between Williamson Road and Luck Avenue.
- From 3 to 10 p.m., Kirk Avenue, between Jefferson Street and Market Street
- After completion of parade, Campbell Avenue, between Williamson
Road and the entrance of the Center in the Square Garage
On Friday, Dec. 11, several streets will be closed from 5 to 8 p.m., due to the "Haley Toyota’s City of Roanoke Christmas Parade" event. The following streets will be closed:
- Jefferson Street, between Salem Avenue and Maple Avenue
- Campbell Avenue, between 1st Street SW and Williamson Road
-From 6:30 to 8 p.m., Williamson Road southbound, between Salem Avenue and Church Avenue
On Saturday, Dec. 12, several streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. due to the "Roanoke Jingle Bell Run/Walk" event. The following streets will be closed:
- Jefferson Street, between Franklin Road and Elm Avenue
- Jefferson Street southbound, along with all crossing streets, between Elm Avenue and McClanahan Street
- McClanahan Street westbound, between Jefferson Street and Crystal
Springs Avenue
Due to these events, on-street parking may be temporarily restricted. On Friday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., the following parking garages will not be accessible:
- Center in the Square Garage
- The Market Garage
All other parking lots and garages will remain accessible throughout these events.
