[ARCHIVED] Citizens May Register to Speak or Leave a Voicemail regarding the Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021 Budget

Under Governor Ralph Northam’s Executive Order Number Fifty-One, Fifty Five and Sixty-One gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibited. Roanoke City Council will hold public hearings on the City of Roanoke Recommended Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021 Budget; proposed real estate property tax increase; and the Recommended 2020 - 2021 HUD funds budget and 2020 - 2021 Annual Update to the 5-year Consolidated Plan on Thursday, May 28, at 7:00 p.m., using electronic communication means without the public present in the Council Chamber. The public will have access to observe this regular meeting of City Council through live cablecast on Roanoke Valley Television Cox Channel 3, and through livestream on the City’s Facebook page

Citizens may register to speak at this City Council session by calling the City Clerk’s office at 540-853-2541 or by sending an email to [email protected] by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. Once registered, the citizen will be given a telephone number to call into the session at the appropriate agenda item.

Citizens may also leave comments with regard to the Recommended Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021 Budget on a voicemail system by calling (540) 853-1110. All comments will be shared with City Council.
