[ARCHIVED] City Council Affirms Roanoke as Diverse, Welcoming City

Roanoke, VA – In a special called meeting of Roanoke City Council this afternoon, comments made by Roanoke Mayor David Bowers earlier this week were disavowed by both Bowers and the Council members. City Council is unanimous in their stance that Roanoke is a diverse and welcoming city.
