Roanoke Street Closing Updates

[ARCHIVED] Upcoming Weekend Street Closures

ROANOKE, VA - There will be street closures beginning on Thursday, July 4th due to several events this weekend.

Four on the 4th (Thursday, 7/4/19) From 8:00AM to 10:00AM

  • Market Street, between Salem Avenue and Norfolk Avenue
  • Shenandoah Avenue, between 5th Street and Commonwealth Avenue
  • Salem Avenue, between Williamson Road and 2nd Street
  • Gainsboro Road(Northbound lanes) between Wells Avenue and Orange Avenue 
  • 2nd Street, between Madison Avenue and Patton Avenue

 Fireworks on the 4th (Thursday, 7/4/19) Various Times - See below

  • From 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Wiley Drive, between Crystal Springs Avenue and Franklin Road
  • From 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Edinburgh Street, from Franklin Road to dead end
  • From 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Evans Mill Road, between Wycliffe Avenue and Crystal Springs Avenue
  • From 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Jefferson Street southbound, between Williamson Road and Reserve Avenue, will be closed to through traffic
  • From 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Jefferson Street, between Reserve Avenue and Weller Lane
  • From 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Reserve Avenue, between Jefferson Street and Franklin Road, will be closed to through traffic

West Station Block Party (Saturday, 7/6/19) From 8:00am to 11:00pm

  • Salem Avenue between 4th Street and 5th Street
