ROANOKE, VA - Beginning Friday, May 3, 2019, there will be several streets closed due to special events. The following streets will be closed to through traffic:
"First & 3rd Fridays on Franklin" (Friday, 5/3/19) - 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
- Franklin Road between Williamson Road and Jefferson Street
"Derby de Mayo" (Saturday, 5/4/19) - 8:00 am to 11:00 pm
- Salem Avenue between 4th Street and 5th Street
"Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure" (Saturday, 5/4/19) - 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
From 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the following streets will be closed due to the "Virginia Blue Ridge Race for the Cure" event:
- Reserve Avenue, between Franklin Road and Jefferson Street
- Jefferson Street southbound, between Walnut Avenue and Reserve Avenue
- Jefferson Street northbound, between Williamson Road and Albemarle Avenue
- Albemarle Avenue eastbound, between Jefferson Street and Williamson Road
- Williamson Road southbound, between Albemarle Avenue and Jefferson Street
- Walnut Avenue westbound, between Belleview Avenue and Jefferson Street
- Piedmont Street southbound, between Arbor Avenue and Walnut Avenue
On street parking may be temporarily restricted due to this event. Residents are encouraged to park in the driveway if available.
Derby Party" (Saturday, 5/4/19) - 6:00 pm to 2:00 am
- Market Street between Campbell Avenue and Kirk Avenue
