A Night Out

RPD-NNO_2022Logo

This Tuesday we join several of our neighborhoods in celebrating National Night Out.  This annual event brings neighborhoods, residents, and public safety personnel together to celebrate community and bring neighbors and law enforcement even closer together.  Started in 1984, National Night Out is now celebrated by millions living in thousands of neighborhoods in all 50 States.

Local Events

In Roanoke there are 15 events scheduled in neighborhoods across the city.  Most events occur between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and include games, food, entertainment - all include time to get to know your neighbors better.  City public safety personnel, administration and elected officials will be in attendance, rotating through various neighborhoods.  Additional details about the location and time of each of these events may be found on the city’s website and Facebook accounts.

Join In

If you have the opportunity, come join your neighbors and city officials at one of these events, interact with local public safety personnel and enjoy some food, entertainment and good times.  A night out in the Star City is a good way to enjoy summer and the great partnerships that exist throughout the city.
