Roanoke is on the list of 24 best mountain towns in the US.

Outside posed the questions “what makes the perfect mountain town? Quick access to adventure, of course, but how about the less obvious attributes? Does it have solid breweries and après food? Can an abundance of bike parks outweigh a lack of taco joints?" Hats off to all the awesome organizations and people working hard to make us a better outdoor community and putting us on the national map

The City o
f Roanoke's Proposed 2022 HUD Annual Plan is now available to the public for review and comment
The 2022 HUD Annual Plan addresses vital community needs that can be addressed with federal funding received by the city from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Funds are intended to primarily provide services for low to moderate income residents in housing, neighborhood revitalization, human services, economic development, and services to the homeless or those at-risk of homelessness. Over $6.5 million in funding from Community Development Block Grants, HOME Investment Partnership Grants, Emergency Solutions Grants, CARES Act and the HOME American Rescue Plan programs are being directed to various non-profits and city departments to address eligible activities during the FY 22-23 fiscal year. A majority of CDBG and HOME funds will be directed in the Belmont/Fallon Target Area.
