Parks and Recreation Re-opens City Pools

After a one-year hiatus, the pools at Washington Park and Fallon Park opened on June 4. Re-opening these pools was made possible thanks to a fundraiser started by Roanoke Attorney John Fishwick. Upon hearing the pools weren’t going to open in 2020, he and community partners—including Fishwick and Associates, American National Bank, Vistar Eye Center, and Carilion—raised $53,000 for the cause. Watch a video of the re-opening ceremony here. For daily hours of operation and pool rates, please visit the Parks and Recreation website.
