Best Sources for COVID-19 Vaccine Information
Virginia is now in Phase 1a of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution with medical and first responders receiving the vaccine, as well as some residents in assisted living and nursing home settings. At this time, there is no established timeline for vaccinations. However, at the appropriate time, the Virginia Department of Health and the City of Roanoke will utilize mass media communications to alert people who are eligible in Phase 1b and Phase 1c, and for the general public. Equity and Empowerment Advisory Board Holds First Meeting

Deadline Extended for Neighborhood Partnership Awards Nominations

‘Phone Down. It’s the Law.’
Distracted driving has become a serious issue across the United States. In response, Virginia has adopted a law, effective Jan. 1, 2021, making it unlawful for any person to hold a handheld personal communications device while driving a moving motor vehicle on our highways.
