City Seeks Citizen Input for Improvements to Target Area
Last year, the City of Roanoke selected the Belmont and Fallon neighborhoods as the focus of community development funding for revitalization activity over the next five years. This area is located between I-581, Fallon Park, and runs from Tazewell Avenue south to Highland Avenue. Residents are invited to take a survey to provide input on the type of improvements desired.
Roanoke Valley Saves Week to Teach Money-Saving Methods
The City of Roanoke, Bank On Roanoke Valley, and United Way of the Roanoke Valley are working together to hold Roanoke Valley Saves Week on Feb. 24-28. Participants will learn how to set financial goals, track their spending, and take control of their financial future. More information is available here.
Consider Becoming a Citizen Science Monitor
A public information session will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Raleigh Court Branch Library, located at 2112 Grandin Rd SW, to share details about the Citizen Science Water Monitoring Program and how you can volunteer to be involved.
