The budget document is one of the most important documents produced by a locality. It identifies the services to be provided (along with the funding), and the rationale behind key decisions. Within each budget document you will find an introduction and overview, financial structure, policy and process, financial summaries, departmental information, and capital and debt information.
There are many details that go into developing a budget, therefore we have done our best to provide a concise summary that captures the important elements without overwhelming the reader. We are proud that our budget documents have been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award since 1985.
Please visit our Budget Document Archive Page to view several past and present budget documents. Physical versions of the budget documents are also available for review at the Main Library located downtown.
