We only accept these documents if they affect real estate and that fact must be indicated on the form.
Valid seven digit tax map numbers must also appear on the form.
The cost to record any UCC financing statement is $20.00.
We retain the original document so if you want a copy please send a duplicate that we will file stamp and return to you.
If you are mailing the form include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Payment may be made by cash, check or with a Visa or MasterCard debit/credit card. Please make checks payable to Clerk of Circuit Court.
Financing statements are fully searchable in the public records room of the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court on the third floor of the Roanoke City Courthouse.
