Commendations
There is no greater form of recognition for a Public Safety Dispatcher than to receive a compliment from someone whose life they have touched and made better. We welcome the commendations of 911 Center personnel who admirably perform their duties. We encourage commendations and or questions about the 911 Center’s performance or actions of its members and employees.
Questions or Complaints
It is the goal of the City of Roanoke’s E-911 Center to investigate all complaints regarding our performance while ensuring confidentiality for both the complainant and the subject of the complaint.

PRESS RELEASE - 2022 E-911 CITIZEN SURVEY
The City of Roanoke E-911 Center, in an effort to determine the effectiveness of services rendered to its citizens, is conducting a survey that will begin September 6, 2022 and end September 20, 2022. The survey will be accessible via the E-911’s webpage and Facebook. Citizens that have had services provided to them by this department are strongly encouraged to participate and provide the E-911 Center with information that could potentially improve our services. The online survey will run concurrent with a random phone survey conducted by the E-911 staff. For additional information regarding the survey, please contact E-911 Operations Specialist, Ashley Shepherd, at 540-853-5278.
