The Mission of the Division of Human Services is to prepare citizens to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and assist them in obtaining an outstanding quality of life.
The Division offers an array of programs and services through its Children’s Services Act Office, Homeless Assistance Team, and Juvenile Justice and Social Services Departments. The Division also partners with Sabrina’s Place and the Blue Ridge Interagency Council on Homelessness to expand the level of services provided to residents of the city.
If you do not speak, read, or write English well, the City will provide an interpreter at no cost to you! This is available for all services and programs the City offers. For language assistance, please call 540-329-3113.
