In order to maintain the security and safety of everyone, all regular inmate postal mail must be addressed as follows:

The inmate’s name and ID number must be clearly printed on the outside of the envelope or postcard to ensure the mail is posted to the correct account. Mail not containing the inmate ID number and name will be “Returned to Sender.”
All regular inmate postal mail (Postcards, letters, greeting cards, etc.) will be scanned into the system and available to the inmates to view via the inmate kiosks or tablets.
Any other items sent to the P.O. Box will not be accepted.
Mail sent to this P.O. Box will be destroyed immediately after being loaded into the MailGuard System.
Inmates may subscribe to or receive through the mail any newspaper or magazine which is mailed directly from the publisher or an authorized vendor with the exception of the following: (1) pornographic or sexually explicit publications; (2) publications which violate United States Postal regulations; (3) publications which advocate the violent overthrow of the government of the United States or of a State, or which advocates violence or rebellion against government authority, under which the inmate is held, or; (4) any publication which may affect the security of the jail or the safety of those persons therein. The Sheriff’s Office is not responsible for lost or misplaced magazines or newspapers. Inmates may receive newspaper and magazine subscriptions at their own risk. Periodicals must be addressed as follows:
