Purpose: See Resolution No. 36608-012004 creating the Western Virginia Water Authority.
See Resolution No. 40247-051815 approved the reorganization and expansion of the Western Virginia Water Authority by providing that Botetourt County, Virginia, join the Authority; approving and authorizing the execution of a Second Amendment and related Articles of Incorporation of the Western Virginia Water Authority to accomplish such joinder.
As provided for in the Second Amendment and Related Articles of Incorporation of the Western Virginia Water Authority, the City Council shall appoint three representatives, such initial terms to start on the date of issuance by the Virginia State Corporation Commission of a Certificate of Joinder and/or Restatement.
Each board member shall be reimbursed by the Authority for the amount of actual expenses incurred in the performance of Authority duties.
