Purpose: To promote and facilitate coordinated direction and guidance in the planning, development, and maintenance of a system of greenways throughout the Roanoke Valley.
NOTE: See Ordinance No. 33308-031797 authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement establishing the Roanoke Valley Greenway Commission between the City of Roanoke, City of Salem, County of Roanoke and Town of Vinton.
Initial appointments are to be staggered as one, two and three year terms, and thereafter, each appointment shall be for a term of three years. (See Section 5, Membership, of the Agreement.)
