Purpose: The Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Commissioners are appointed by City Council for four-year terms. Their primary roles are to establish policy, articulate goals, supervise the Executive Director, and provide oversight of policy implementation by staff. Commissioners reflect community ideals in establishing policy and represent RRHA in the community. They also build community support and partnerships for initiatives and programs.

NOTE: See Title 36, Housing, of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended. State Code does not require City residency.
