The Roanoke Neighborhood Advocates (RNA) is a nine member committee created by City Council. Members of the RNA include those citizens representing the interests of the neighborhood organizations, the private sector, nonprofit service organizations, local government, and interested citizens. Five of the nine members are appointed by City Council with the remaining four seats selected by the RNA appointees with input from recognized City neighborhood organizations.
Appointment to the RNA is open to all city residents for three year terms on a rotating basis. APPLY TODAY by completing an Application for Appointment.
Tell us about an issue (or issues) in your neighborhood by completing and submitting an Advocacy Petition to the RNA. An Advocacy Petition is a method by which citizens and neighborhood groups can request the RNA to advocate to City Council on their behalf a particular issue of concern.
