About the Watch
The boundaries of the Starview Heights Neighborhood Watch are as follows: 9th Street to the East, Montrose Avenue to the south, 5th Street to the west, and Elm Avenue to the north.
Although the Starview Heights Neighborhood Watch boundaries fall within those of the SE Action Forum, Inc., their purpose is not to eclipse or replace but instead to partner with and facilitate the sharing of ideas, information, and assets for the betterment of all residents who reside within Starview Heights neighborhood.

- Aids in welcoming to all neighborhood residents and businesses
- Facilitates neighborhood residents actively working together to eliminate neighborhood crime and blight
- Continually seeking to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood
- Hosts neighborhood social activities including yard sales, picnics, and neighborhood clean-ups
- Participates in neighborhood crime watch activities including National Night Out
- Neighbors working together to enhance the neighborhood's quality of life
- Informative programs at neighborhood meetings on matters related to preservation, improvements, special events, neighborhood issues and more.
- Coordinate yearly clean up of alleys and neighborhood streets
- Welcoming to all neighborhood residents, businesses and those with an interest in helping to preserve the Starview Heights neighborhood
- The Starview Heights area is included in both the Belmont-Fallon Neighborhood Plan and Morningside-Kenwood-Riverdale Neighborhood Plan. Both plans are components of the City's 2001-2020 Comprehensive Plan that provide detailed information about the neighborhood and serves as a guide for public and private decisions regarding land use, capital improvements and other projects planned in the neighborhood.
