About the Forum
The South East Action Forum, Inc. involves the Belmont, Fallon, Morningside and Kenwood neighborhoods. These neighborhoods contain some of the oldest communities of Roanoke. They are bordered by Vinton to the east, the Norfolk and Southern Railroad to the north, I-581 to the west and the Roanoke River to the south. The area is well served with public facilities such as schools, expansive parks, a community swimming pool and fitness center and a library.
The rolling typography of the area makes for excellent views of the downtown skyline and the Mill Mountain Star is visible from much of the neighborhood.
In addition to the many businesses, restaurants, parks, churches, convenience stores, and schools, other amenities scattered throughout the neighborhood include easy access to downtown Roanoke, the Roanoke River, and the city's greenway trail network.
