The boundaries of the Belmont Neighborhood Watch include: Campbell Avenue SE to the north, 9th Street SE to the east, Jamison Avenue SE to the south, and I-581 to the west.
In addition to the businesses, restaurants, churches, convenience stores, and the City cemetery where many of the city's founders are buried, other amenities scattered throughout the neighborhood include easy access to downtown Roanoke, the Roanoke River, and the city's greenway trail network.

The area represented by the Belmont Neighborhood Association is included in the Belmont - Fallon Neighborhood Plan. The plan is a component of the City's 2001-2020 Comprehensive Plan that provides detailed information about the neighborhood and serves as a guide for public and private decisions regarding land use, capital improvements and other projects planned in the neighborhood.
