Please note that Planning Commission Work Sessions are now located in the Council Conference Room, Room 451,
Fourth Floor, Municipal South, Noel C. Taylor Municipal Building, 215 Church Avenue SW, Roanoke, Virginia.
The Planning Commission work session is a public meeting. However, please be aware that the work session is not a public hearing; Commissioners will not be voting or taking any action at the work session.
The Planning Commission advises and assists City Council in promoting the orderly development of the City.
The commission develops the plans and ordinances to guide future growth and serves as a sounding board for City Council in matters
related to development issues.
The commission reviews and makes recommendations to City Council on proposed amendments to the City's land development
regulations (rezonings and zoning text amendments), street and alley closure requests and short- and long-range plans.
Correspondence should be directed through Tina M. Carr, Secretary to the Planning Commission.
