The following list of vacancies is updated, if necessary, after each City Council meeting. Roanoke City Council appoints members to approximately 64 authorities, boards, commissions and committees.

    • Unexpired term of office ending October 1, 2025
  • Board of Zoning Appeals
    • Unexpired term of office ending December 31, 2024
    • Three-year term of office ending December 31,  2026
  • Building and Fire Code Board of Appeals - one vacancy
    • Unexpired term of office ending June 30, 2025 (Property Management)
  • Economic Development Authority
    • Four-year term of office ending October 20, 2027
  • Equity and Empowerment Advisory Board - two vacancies
    • Three-year terms of office ending December 31, 2026 (2)
  • Human Services Advisory Board
    • Unexpired term of office ending November 30, 2026
  • Roanoke Neighborhood Advocates - one vacancy
    • Two-year term of office ending September 30, 2025
  • Towing Advisory Board - one vacancy 
    • Three-year term of office ending October 31, 2026 (Towing Operator)
