We believe:

a designated, predictable funding source for our stormwater needs is now critical. We can no longer depend on short-term solutions to a long-term problem.

What is Stormwater?

What is the problem? | Regulations | Environmental

There are many federal, state, and local regulations that govern the discharge and handling of stormwater from a public system. Every community must adhere to and enforce these regulations or face fines or loss of funding. Over time, stormwater management requirements have become more stringent and are likely to continue to be a topic of emphasis for regulatory agencies.

Among the things that must be managed, measured, controlled and inspected include:
  • design standards for stormwater capture and control
  • erosion and sediment control requirements
  • stormwater collection and control facility inspections
  • new construction
  • public outreach and education
