We believe:

a designated, predictable funding source for our stormwater needs is now critical. We can no longer depend on short-term solutions to a long-term problem.

The Need

How did this happen? | How do communities manage stormwater?

There are several reasons our stormwater system is in disrepair
  • It evolved over time and is “mismatched”
  • It was never designed to accommodate today’s volume of water
  • Much of our system was integrated nearly a century ago, and pipes have reached their useful life and are now crumbling and in need of replacement or repair
  • There are always needs that are perceived as more urgent than stormwater projects. Public safety and school projects are often higher on the priority list and the stormwater projects get shelved for a later date.

The need for a designated, predictable source of funding for our stormwater issues is now critical.
