Program: Documentary Film Screening Series – Monkey Dance
Description: Three Cambodian-American teenagers come of age in a world shadowed by their parents' nightmares of the Khmer Rouge. Traditional Cambodian dance links them to their parents’ culture, but fast cars, hip consumerism, and new romance pull harder. Gradually coming to appreciate their parents’ sacrifices, the three teens find a balance between their parents’ dreams and their own.

Program: Documentary Film Screening Series - Pilgrimage
Description: Two young Japanese Americans set out to find an obscure place called Manzanar in the California desert in 1969. This was one of ten sites where over 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry were incarcerated during World War II. This rediscovery then became a "pilgrimage" and the first public event in the U.S. that called attention to the reality of these camps. With a hip music track, never-before-seen archival footage and a story-telling style that features both old and new pilgrims, PILGRIMAGE is the first film to show how the WWII camps were reclaimed by the children of its victims.

Program: Introductory Tai Chi for Adults
Description: Presented by Cherry Tree Tai Chi Qigong (www.cherrytreetaichi-kung.com). Classes are free – however registration is required. Tai Chi is a gentle exercise system which originated in China that combines slow, graceful movement with calm, regular breathing. We suggest you wear loose and comfortable clothing and low or flat shoes. Please bring a bottle of water and a hand towel.
