Fourth Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Sheriff Octavia Johnson is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at Countryside Golf Club The tournament will be held at Countryside Golf Club in Roanoke, Virginia, in Roanoke, Virginia, May 16, 2009. The format is Captain’s Choice; one flight only with a shotgun start at 7:30 AM. The entry fee is $55.00 per player or $220.00 per team. Entry fee includes lunch, refreshments, cart and green fees. Registration deadline is May 3, or when the flight is full.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Teaching our children to resist drugs and violence is the foundation of the DARE program taught by Deputy Sheriffs in Roanoke City’s twenty elementary schools. We need your help to persist in our fight to keep children off drugs, out of gangs and away from violence.
Dare to keep kids off drugs; register today. Compete to win great prizes for: hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin on selected holes.
For our friends and patrons who do not wish to play golf but want to ensure the success of our DARE program, we encourage you to “sponsor a hole.” Sponsorship of a hole is $100.00. Companies or individuals sponsoring holes or donating prizes receive recognition for their support.
