Who has been in the house? Why is a necklace twisted around a water bird's neck and leg? Why is a fishing boat entering the boathouse at night? Who tried to ram Aurora's boat? Who is the dead body Aurora and her dog King find floating in the lake? And where is her husband Sam? Aurora unlocks the secrets at Spawing Run and discovers terrifying truths.

A North Carolina native, Sally Roseveare moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, in 1971 with her husband Ron and their three children. The family discovered Smith Mountain Lake and its recreational offerings in the mid 70s. A grandmother 11 times, Sally lives at the lake with Ron and their dog Angus. Sally’s novel, Secrets at Spawning Run, is set at Smith Mountain Lake.

Sally enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, kayaking, traveling, horseback riding, playing bridge, cross-stitching, dancing with her husband, and dreaming up new plots for future books. Made-from-scratch chocolate meringue pie is her all-time favorite breakfast; grits swimming in melted butter is second. Sally is an active member of the Lake Writers and The Virginia Writers Club. She is writing her second novel, also set at Smith Mountain Lake.
